Clearly structured, high-performing and efficient: this is how our organisation should be, especially in times of economic challenges and rising costs. With the new initiative ‘LEO – Lean & Efficient Organisation’ we aim to identify and leverage potential to further improve our internal collaboration.
While project NOVA focused on the shape of the business units and group divisions, the LEO initiative now places particular emphasis on central functions, both nationally and internationally. Across the entire TÜV NORD GROUP, functions such as IT, HR, controlling, communications, marketing, strategy and sales will be analysed. To achieve the best possible outcome, we are supplementing our own expertise with the market and competitive knowledge of an external consultancy. This will provide a clear picture of our structures and processes, enabling us to identify areas for improvement, reduce potential duplication of work, and develop a future-proof setup for our administrative and organisational structures. This is also aligned with the ongoing UNIFY project to derive an optimised process infrastructure for TÜV NORD GROUP.
“With LEO, we want to support our employees in carrying out their valuable work as efficiently and effectively as possible for our organisation,” adds Dr Dirk Stenkamp, TÜV NORD CEO and Chairman of the LEO Steering Committee.
From analysis to implementation
The LEO initiative is divided into two project phases:
Phase 1: Taking stock, benchmarking, analysis and identification of potential
Phase 2: Preparation and implementation of the identified efficiency potentials
The core team for the LEO initiative consists of Jens Neubert, Head of Corporate Strategy & Organisational Development, TÜV NORD AG, Jürgen Terbeck, Head of Finance BU Mobility, TÜV NORD Mobilität, and Verena Unger, Head of HR Strategy & Solutions, TÜV NORD AG.
The LEO Info Portal provides more information about the various work streams and the organisational structure of the initiative, as well as frequently asked questions and answers.
