BU Digital & Semiconductor is more than the sum of its individual companies. The accuracy of this statement has been demonstrated in various ways over the past 24 months. The trend? Upward. So we are heading in the right direction, and this is becoming increasingly apparent in our joint communication, marketing and sales activities. This is no coincidence, but the result of continuous close coordination and joint preparation, especially when it comes to events and trade fairs.

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (03-2025), the “Behördentage” near Bielefeld (06-2025) and the Space Tech Expo in Bremen (11-2025) in the last financial year are good examples and showed what can be achieved together, how we complement each other and what we can learn from each other. In addition, joint participation in trade fairs always provides an opportunity for a brief exchange between colleagues. That's a good thing.

Finding the optimal intersection is the goal of a since 2025 established BU Event Council. At the start of the year on 16 January, we met for the first time in 2026, presented the trade fair and event planning from all areas, compared them and identified potential for cooperation. Not according to the scattergun approach, but where it really makes sense. Over 70 participation options in various formats were discussed, 23 of which involved our own exhibition stand. In the coming weeks, the programme will be consolidated and put to the test. Then the detailed work will begin, and we will stand together, shoulder to shoulder in 2026 again.
