As part of long-term succession and skills transfer planning, Simon Ulmer (41) will take on the role of second managing director at TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH (TÜVIT) with effect from November 17, 2025, alongside Dirk Kretzschmar.
As an internationally experienced manager with strong expertise in business administration, public administration, and scientific degrees in molecular chemistry and physics, Simon Ulmer will strengthen the current management team of the Digital & Semiconductor business unit with a wide range of skills.
Simon Ulmer brings international experience and comprehensive expertise in the field of cybersecurity. He completed his education in the USA and at the French universities École Normale Supérieure and Université Paris-Saclay. He is also a graduate of Corps des Mines, an elite training program for engineers in France who take on key roles in industry and administration.
After holding various positions in the diplomatic service, including as Economic Counselor at the French Embassy in Germany, his career path led him into the business world. Simon Ulmer was Vice President of Energy, Utilities & Transportation at ATOS, an international IT service provider, and most recently headed the Digital ID/Cyber Products business unit at Eviden, an ATOS company.
