Last 6 November 2025, we opened our doors to students from Ruhr University Bochum at the TÜVIT site in Essen as part of the Student.Connect format, sponsored by BITSI e.V., of which we are a full member.

Our experts, Dr Henning Kerstan, Sven Bettendorf and Timo Bartkewitz, provided exciting insights into our work, from artificial intelligence and quantum communication to genuine hardware research. 

After a tour of our hardware lab and brief presentations on current projects, we moved to the meeting room for an open exchange – with great questions, curious minds and inspiring conversations. We were particularly pleased to welcome Alexander May from RUB, who provided some real ‘aha’ moments with his expertise in cryptanalysis.

Finally, it was time for pizza, networking and good conversations, exactly how we imagine ConnectingFuture.
